Overview

Hydraulic Hangar Doors
Custom Sizes. Engineered Precision.

EvoMotion hydraulic hangar doors operate as a single panel that lifts outward and upward on hydraulic cylinders — creating a protective canopy effect while open. Unlike bifold systems, there are no center hinges to fail, no tracks to clog, and no panels to sag or misalign over time.

Every system is custom-engineered to the exact dimensions, load requirements, and operational cycles of your facility. We serve aviation hangars, FBOs, MRO facilities, military installations, architectural showpieces, and high-clearance agricultural buildings.

System Technology

Features & Capabilities

  • ⚙️
    Hydraulic Power Unit
Smooth, consistent lifting force across the full door width — even panels exceeding 10,000 lbs. Two-speed valve for controlled actuation.
  • 📱
    Smart Automation & Remote Control
Soft-start/stop hydraulics, wall panel, remote fob, or smartphone operation. Multi-door integration and BAS tie-in standard.
  • 🔒
    Integrated Safety & Security
Pressure relief valves, obstruction sensors, and mechanical locks. Hydraulic anti-theft locking makes forced entry practically impossible.
  • 🌀
    150+ MPH Wind-Rated Construction
Panels and header assemblies engineered to exceed Florida and Gulf Coast building codes, including Miami-Dade equivalent performance.
  • 🏗️
    Metal Building Native Design
Zero headroom loss. Integrates with standard metal building framing — no costly structural modifications required.
  • 🔋
    12V Backup System
Doors operate during power outages — critical for aviation and emergency facilities. Manual override also available.
  • 🛡️
    Zero Maintenance Seals
Self-sealing panel design eliminates the gaps and drafts common in bifold systems. Hinges greased from inside without removing seals.
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a hydraulic hangar door different from a bifold door? +

A hydraulic door is a single panel that lifts outward on hydraulic cylinders, forming a protective canopy when open. A bifold door splits in the middle and folds up, requiring headroom above the opening. Hydraulic doors have zero headroom loss, open 3× faster, have fewer moving parts, and create a weather-tight seal that bifold systems cannot match.

What sizes can EvoMotion build? +

We custom-engineer every door to the project requirements. Standard range is 20 ft to 130 ft wide and up to 36 ft tall. Contact us for openings outside this range — we have solutions for very large commercial and military spans as well.

Can a hydraulic door be installed on an existing building? +

Yes. Our retrofit expertise is one of our strongest differentiators. We install hydraulic systems into existing metal building structures without requiring costly structural modifications — and in many cases we can increase both the width and the height of the existing opening.

What wind load rating do your doors carry? +

Our standard systems are engineered to 150+ mph wind load ratings, meeting and exceeding Florida building codes and Miami-Dade equivalent standards. This is critical for coastal Florida installations and Gulf Coast facilities.

Do hydraulic doors work during a power outage? +

Yes. Every EvoMotion system includes a 12-volt backup battery that powers the door through a power outage. Manual override is also available on every system as a secondary failsafe.
